Man chopped on both arms fleeing bar fight in Corozal

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A Corozal man is recovering after receiving chop wounds to both arms on Friday night.

Police say that around 11:15 p.m., 28-year-old Franklin Moreno was at a bar in Corozal Town along with his brother Douglas Moreno when a brawl broke out.

The brothers left the establishment but while they were leaving two men armed with machetes jumped out of the pan of a white pickup truck and attacked Franklin Moreno.

He was taken to the Corozal Community Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Police are investigating.
