Who murdered 28-year-old businessman Ricardo Borja and injured his girlfriend?

By Aaron Humes: Ricardo Borja, a 28-year-old Salvadoran businessman of the Buttonwood Bay area of Belize City, was shot dead in his vehicle right outside his apartment on Saturday night.

The question police want an answer to is who did it, and why?

Police found a white Nissan pickup truck with an apparent bullet hole on the left side close to the driver’s door and Borja’s body with gunshot injuries behind the steering wheel. He had parked in front of his apartment around 11:30 p.m., accompanied by his girlfriend from Corozal District, when loud gunfire was heard. The girlfriend escaped with a graze to her left elbow.

Police investigations continue.
