Lieutenant Commander Almita Pinelo received highest grades in Leadership and Naval Strategy at Naval Command and Staff College in Taiwan

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Commandant of the Belize Coast Guard, Rear Admiral Elton Bennett has joined the Belize Coast Guard family and all Belizeans in congratulating Lieutenant Commander Almita Pinelo.

“Her highest grades were in the areas of Leadership, and in Naval Strategy. No surprise there, Lieutenant Commander Almita Pinelo is a leader and a thinker. We are happy to have her back after a year and a half of study at the Naval Command & Staff College in Taiwan,” Bennett said.

Holding the previous title of Substantive Fleet Commander within the Belize Coast Guard, Lieutenant Commander Pinelo has now reached a significant milestone, becoming the first Belizean woman to graduate as Lieutenant Commander from Taiwan’s prestigious National Defense University.
