Grief leads to blows between mourning friends

By Aaron Humes: Losing a friend is never easy, but differences on funeral arrangements allegedly led to a fight between two women earlier this week involving a machete and court charges for one of them.

27-year-old Sarafina Lino of Belize City was charged with aggravated assault on Kadesha Knox on August 21 and appeared in court on Thursday, pleading not guilty. She was offered and met bail of $1,500 and a surety and returns to court on October 23.

Knox is the sister of Lino’s late friend who apparently died from cancer last week. The women had been working together on death arrangements and planning the funeral but ran into differences and tension built to a misunderstanding between them.
