Police find half a million coca plants in Southern Belize

By Breaking Belize News Staff: On August 29, 2023, police discovered a coca plantation in a remote area in Toledo.

Coca leaves are used for the manufacturing of cocaine.

Recently, authorities destroyed a lab in Southern Belize and according to 7news Belize, police are searching for another lab.

The plantation had almost half a million coca plants.

Mexican cartels are known for controlling cocaine production and trafficking.
