Ministry of Health and Wellness receives donation of medical supplies from Straughan & Sigler Foundation

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez:  On September 5, 2023, the Ministry of Health and Wellness officially received a donation of medical supplies and equipment from the Straughan & Sigler Foundation.

The donation was made possible with the assistance of the Belize Chinese Association and Build Belize Inc.

The donation is valued at BZ $100,000 and the items will be distributed to health facilities all around the country.

Minister of Health and Wellness, Kevin Bernard and Dr. Melissa Diaz-Musa, Director of Public Health & Wellness, received the donation from Dr. Robert T Sigler, Chairman of Sigler Foundation; Robert M. Sigler, CEO of Sigler Foundation.

Attendees at the handing over included Johnston Ou, President of the Belize Chinese Association; Sandhya Murphy, Ambassador for Diaspora Relations and Build Belize Inc. Chair; Sandra Hall, Build Belize Inc. representative.
