Police fire shot to stop “big brawl” behind Carnival Road March

By Aaron Humes: Reports concerning a shot fired on Baymen Avenue this afternoon say it was the Police who fired and no one was injured.

Report say there was a big brawl ongoing behind the Carnival Road March on Baymen Avenue, which police were trying to break up.

The brawl apparently broke out amongst young people watching the parade and police fired a shot in the air. Onlookers got scared, scampering off and creating a small chaos after they heard the shot. The onlookers thought someone was shot and that the peace of the carnival was at risk.
