Woman from Belize City is winner of over $160,000 Mega Bingo jackpot

By Hugh O’Brien: A woman from Belize City is the lucky winner of the Mega Bingo progressive jackpot as the main prize as well as the smaller outside world prize, for a total of $163,450.00, on September 13, 2023.

While Mega Bingo announced that there was a winner and that the ticket was purchased at Heng Loon business in Belize City, the name of the person who won the jackpot was not released publicly. News 7 Belize, however, interviewed the person and reported that the winner was a woman from Southside Belize City whose house was recently damaged by hurricane.

In announcing the winner, Mega Bingo noted “We are so happy for the winner and wish her all the best with her new fortune. She is such a wonderful person, and her story really inspired us. We know that this life-changing win will allow her to pursue her dreams and future goals. We hope that she enjoys her prize and has a great time celebrating with her loved ones.”

Recently JD Financials Limited (Mega Bingo) agreed to the proposal made by the Lotteries Committee to increase their starting jackpot from $100,000 to $150,000 with effect from September 1, 2023. The person who won the Mega Bingo on September 13, is the first person to win under this new starting regime for the jackpot.
