Governor General receives letters of credence from new Ambassadors appointed to Belize

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On September 17, 3 new ambassadors to Belize presented their letters of credence to the Governor General Dame Froyla Tzalam at the Belize House in Belmopan.

The ambassadors are Carlos Alberto Reyes García of Guatemala; Agostinho de Carvalho dos Santos Van-Dúnem of Angola; and Ragnhild Imerslund of Norway.

The Governor General also received a courtesy visit from Sonya Koppe, High Commissioner of Australia to Belize. 

The dignitaries expressed their honour to serve in Belize as representatives of their respective countries.

They each shared the hope of their countries in strengthening bilateral relationships with Belize.

The Governor General graciously welcomed the ambassadors and wished them well during their tenure in Belize.

The ambassadors and the high commissioner will be in the country to join the celebrations of Belize’s Independence.
