70-year-old retired woman’s house burglarized in Buttonwood Bay; police detain one and recover stolen items

By Aaron Humes: Police have detained a Belize City man pending investigation of an apparent burglary at a residence on Buttonwood Bay Boulevard.

According to police, the residence of Josephine Hamilton, 70, was hit on Tuesday morning. Stolen were various electronics and household items. It was established that entry was gained by prying open the door locks.

One man is held pending investigation while the items stolen have successfully been recovered.
