By Horace Palacio: As Hurricane Nigel steadily moves northward, the Atlantic finds itself under increased watch due to two other brewing systems. Drawing insights from a recent Yahoo News report, here’s what we know:
Nigel, currently a Category 2 storm with robust winds of 100 mph, is expected to curve northeast soon. Though it’s still some distance away, Bermuda might experience some high waves in the coming days. The good news? Experts believe Nigel has peaked in strength and will begin to weaken from Wednesday, with a significant drop in intensity expected by Friday.
But that’s not all the weather drama in the Atlantic right now.
Just off Florida, a weather system is gaining momentum, potentially growing into a storm as it heads north. While it might not evolve into a full-blown hurricane, it’s expected to bring gusty winds, downpours, and surging waves to parts of the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic U.S. this weekend.
Further away, near Africa’s western coast, another disturbance is on the radar. Forecasters anticipate it could mature into a noteworthy storm by the weekend as it charts a westward course.
With these atmospheric developments, residents and travelers in the affected regions are advised to stay vigilant, keep updated with the latest news, and take necessary precautions. Safety first!
