United Arab Emirates leaders extend warm congratulations to Belize on Independence Day

By Horace Palacio: In a notable diplomatic gesture, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has extended his warm congratulations to Froyla Tzalam, the Governor-General of Belize, on the occasion of Belize’s Independence Day. The message reflects the friendly relations between the UAE and Belize and showcases the UAE’s ongoing efforts to strengthen international partnerships.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his well wishes for Belize’s continued progress, prosperity, and stability, extending an olive branch for enhanced cooperation and mutual development.

Joining President Sheikh Mohamed in sending congratulatory notes were His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court. Both leaders also extended their congratulatory messages to Belize’s Prime Minister John Briceño, underlining the importance that the UAE attaches to its relations with Belize.

The United Arab Emirates and Belize have enjoyed friendly relations since Belize gained independence in 1981. The latest messages of goodwill further solidify the strong diplomatic ties between the two countries, following several years of engagement in areas such as trade, investment, and cultural exchange.
