Women’s National Team beats Aruba 2-0; wins first Concacaf game on the road to Gold Cup

By Aaron Humes: The women of Belize’s National Team delivered a special Independence Day gift to the nation with a 2-0 win at the FFB Stadium in Concacaf W Gold Cup qualifiers, playing versus Aruba.

After a scoreless first half, Mikhaila Bowden scored the first goal and deep into added time, captain Sabrina Eiley hit the second.

The team next plays Bonaire on September 25 at 7:30 in the evening, also at FFB Stadium.
