International News: Magnitude 4.9 earthquake rocks Jamaica

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez:  The Earthquake Unit of the University of the West Indies (UWI) reported that a magnitude 4.9 earthquake was felt across parts of Jamaica on Thursday evening.

The tremor was felt at around 7:31 pm with its epicenter being approximately five kilometres west of Hope Bay in Portland.

The earthquake was felt in St Thomas, Portland, Kingston, St Andrew, St Catherine, and Clarendon.
