By Horace Palacio: The parents of 14-year-old Virginia Hernandez have informed local media that their daughter has been found and is now safe. Hernandez was reported missing last Thursday, triggering a search operation involving the Benque Viejo Police, the Department of Human Development’s social services, and the school Virginia attends.
Hernandez was last seen wearing blue jean shorts, a blue shirt, and tight pants beneath her shorts. The information was widely circulated on social media in an attempt to locate the teenager as quickly as possible.
Earlier today, the Hernandez family contacted our newsroom to report that Virginia has been found and is no longer in danger. While specific details surrounding her disappearance and subsequent discovery have not been released, it is understood that she is currently safe.
“We are relieved to announce that our daughter has been found and is no longer in danger,” stated the Hernandez family. “We would like to thank everyone who assisted in locating her.”
Community members who had been concerned about Hernandez’s well-being have expressed relief upon learning of her safe return. The incident has led to renewed calls for parents and guardians to discuss safety measures with their children.
