Family of traffic accident victim paralyzed from waist down seeks urgent assistance to pay pre-surgery bill

By Aaron Humes: The sister of traffic accident victim Zarah Castillo, 23, is asking for urgent assistance with funds to allow a private hospital to conduct needed surgery.

She explains that Zarah “is currently paralyzed from the waist down. [Belize Healthcare Partners Limited] can do a surgery to align back the spine and help her to be able [to] sit up again.”

The total cost is more than 90 thousand dollars; however, insurance is covering three-quarters of the cost and the family needs to pay the balance of $23,350 right away for the surgery to be done.
