University of Belize warns of FAKE advertisement claiming affiliation with UB

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The University of Belize (UB) has issued a statement notifying that it is aware of a FALSE advertisement from an entity known as “Online Class Center – Free Government Courses”.

This entity is currently advertising courses and claiming an affiliation with The University of Belize – Open and Distance Learning.

“We want to make it clear that there is no such affiliation, and this organization is not authorized to represent or provide courses on behalf of our University. We value our community’s trust and want to ensure that accurate information is available to all,” UB noted.

The University urges interested and prospective students to visit UB’s website, www.ub.edu.bz or contact their admissions office directly for verified information and enrollment procedures.

“Please exercise caution when encountering online advertisements or promotions, and verify the authenticity of educational institutions and programs before making any commitments. Your education and academic journey are important, and we want to ensure that you have access to the accurate resources you deserve,” UB added.
