Alleged sexual predator out on $3,000 bail

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A Belize City man accused of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl is out on $3,000 bail.

Alguin Beeks, 32, appeared unrepresented in court and pleaded not guilty to a count of sexual assault. Beeks allegedly touched a girl inappropriately.

He was offered bail in the sum of $3,000 plus one surety of the same and conditions that he must stay away from the victim and her family. He is due back in court on November 31.

Sexual assault carries a minimum sentence of three years if convicted.
