Belizean referee Jose Colindres qualifies for 2024 FIFA listing

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Belizean referee Jose Colindres has qualified for the 2024 FIFA referee listing, becoming the only candidate from Belize to qualify for the 2024 listing.

On September 23, the Refereeing Department of the FFB conducted the 2023 FIFA fitness test at the Marion Jones Sporting Complex in Belize City and was supervised by FIFA Fitness Instructor from Guatemala, Neri Herrera, and Football Federation of Belize (FFB) Director of Refereees, Eugene Contreras.

The FIFA fitness test measures the physical ability of match officials. The test for the FIFA listing happens only once a year even though the refereeing department conducts several fitness tests a year.

FFB extended congratulations to Colindres, who was the only Belizean to qualify to the listing. He will now enjoy the benefits of being appointed to FIFA matches.
