By Aaron Humes: Despite the continued woes in agriculture and manufacturing, the economy continues to grow, according to the Statistical Institute of Belize.
Some $1.3 billion in goods was produced from April to June, an increase of 2.6 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
The primary sector lost significant ground with sugar, bananas and citrus unable to overcome various pestilence. Marine products fell 10 percent with only shrimp seeing an increase.
However, there was a rise in cattle production.
