2022 GDP is 8.7 percent higher than previous year, driven by services sector: SIB reports

By Aaron Humes: Belize produced more than $5 billion in goods and services in 2022, a difference of 8.7 percent greater than 2021.

The services sector grew by nearly nine percent, led by hotel and accommodation services and transportation services. 

The primary and secondary sectors recorded declines as the reduction in raw goods especially in citrus and bananas affected manufacturing.
