4 months and counting, still no Boledo

By Breaking Belize News Staff: It has now been over four months still the last time Boledo was drawn and there has been no indication lately as to when the game will return.

In August, Prime Minister John Briceño had told the media that bids for the license were open and he expected an announcement to be forthcoming in the next few weeks. No announcement has yet been made, however.

At the time, Prime Minister Briceño said the delay was because government was doing everything to ensure proper vetting. He also noted that government hopes to channel much of the revenue from Boledo into its expanding National Health Insurance program.
