International News: Bags of bodies and body parts found in Monterrey, Mexico

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On Tuesday, authorities in Monterrey, Mexico found bags of bodies and body parts, the Associated Press reports.

Authorities did not provide a final tally of the number of dead because some of the bodies had been found in pieces or were dumped in plastic bags.

Officials confirmed at least 7 bodies had been found, as well as five bags of body parts.

At this time, law enforcement officials believe that the murders are related to drug cartel feuds near Tamaulipas.

Drug cartels in Mexico often leave dismembered bodies on the streets, often with notes threatening officials or rival gangs.
