Secondary industries down 3.2 percent in second quarter

By Aaron Humes: The manufacturing sector and utilities sector recorded decreases in production during the second quarter.

There were decreases in production of beer and rum as well as local milk and cheese and flour, while there is a decrease of production in sugar to 68 thousand tons and citrus concentrate to 35 thousand gallons.

While electricity production is up slightly, it costs more to produce, reducing its overall value.
