Thirty-three Belizeans from the Agriculture and Tourism sectors completed business advisor training

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) is offering support to the Government of Belize, through technical cooperation, to kick off the project, “Sustainable and Inclusive Belize”.

On September 26, 2023, 33 participants from the Agriculture and Tourism sectors completed a 17-day business advisor training.

Sixteen of the participants will be conducting an additional 1.5 days certification training of trainers, in order to replicate the training during the life of the project.

Each participant had the opportunity to put into practice the business advisor toolkit.

Additionally, the business advisors acquired the necessary skills required to be a part of the roster, from which the implementing entity will select individuals who will provide business advising services to the direct beneficiaries of the project.

The Ministry of Economic Development extended gratitude to the IADB for their continued support, the Central Executing Unit within the Ministry for leading this project, and all participants from stakeholder organizations.
