San Pedro woman claims $158,000 Megabingo jackpot – second in less than two weeks

By Aaron Humes: An anonymous winner has claimed the Megabingo progressive jackpot of $158,000 plus a prize for a game pattern valued at $1,450.

The woman, originally from Toledo District and living in San Pedro Town, told reporters that she had purchased three tickets on the island as she has since 2018. The 49th ball drawn, O-65, secured both wins and left her in tears.

She says she plans to use the money for a house on the island.

According to game host Rachel Armstrong, on September 13 a $154,000 jackpot was claimed, making this the second in just over a week. It comes after proprietors J.D. Financial Limited agreed to raise the starting progressive jackpot to $150,000 to a single winner and to increase the amount of unclaimed jackpot by $4,000 for each unsuccessful game.

Megabingo is drawn twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
