Weather experts monitor Tropical Storms Philippe and Rina in the Atlantic

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Weather experts at the National Hurricane Center (NHC) are closely monitoring Tropical Storms Philippe and Rina in the Atlantic.

Philippe is forecast to move slowly and remain east of the Northern Leeward Islands during the next few days.

Maximum sustained winds are near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher gusts.

Little change in strength is forecast during the next few days.

Newly formed Tropical Storm Rina has also formed over the central tropical Atlantic.

Rina was located some 1,190 miles east of the Northern Leeward Islands.

Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts.

Some gradual strengthening is forecast during the next few days.
