By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The United States Embassy representatives met with Belizean alumni of the State Department flagship exchange the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP).
The team met with Human Rights Commission of Belize Paralegal Officer Romario Pech, News 5 Live Journalist Hipolito Novelo, and Small Business Development Centre Manager at BELTRAIDE Monique Usher.
“It was an inspiring discussion on topics from human rights advocacy and economic development to the important role that the independent media plays in upholding democracy,” the U.S. Embassy Belize said.
