Congrats to the winners of the 2023 Landshark Beach Volleyball National Championship

By Aaron Humes: The Belize Volleyball Association hosted its annual Beach Volleyball National Championship at the Marion Jones Sporting Complex over this weekend.

Following competition among nine men’s volleyball teams and six women’s duos, Edgar Martinez and Gabriel Nuñez captured first place on the men’s side. 2nd went to Joseph Carnegie and Ernest Arzu and 3rd to Eric Longsworth and Ernie Longsworth.

For the women, champions were Nelissa Ramirez and Nissan Martinez while 2nd went Emma Hoare and Aaliyah Pilgrim and 3rd to Isabelle Swasey and Ahniyah Cocom.

The winners will likely be entered into the regional tournament next year.
