By Aaron Humes: The wait – and the withdrawals – go on for Boledo, which has been absent from popular consciousness since Labour Day after the contract for Brads Gaming Group Limited was not renewed over alleged breaches of terms and conditions.
Prime Minister John Briceño told Channel 7 News on Friday that the wait will soon be over, even if he misstated the time it has been absent as five ‘years’ rather than months – though we are sure it feels that way to its denizens.
Nonetheless, it is coming in a few more weeks, the P.M. said, but more importantly for him and the Government, it will be done well: “Now that we have decided that the Government is going to own it, we are putting the proper infrastructure and want to ensure that we get a fair share…I believe that because of the new structure that we are going to put in, we will earn more than we did before [with Brads Gaming Group].
The plan revealed by the Government following the Brads’ non-renewal was for regional master agents countrywide who would manage a completely electronic system along with various vendors. Those contracts have been put out to tender but their winners have not been revealed.
