BREAKING: Meighan brothers found not guilty of being members of a gang

By Aaron Humes: Brothers Tyrone, Ellis, and Shaquille Meighan have been found not guilty of being each a member of a criminal gang, to wit, the Ghost Town Crips based in and around Mayflower Street.

The Senior Magistrate who delivered her judgment this morning noted in her ruling, “To prove the guilt there must be a nexus to the defendants and the serious criminal offenses said to be committed by a group of persons in a gang. Based on the evidence before the court, while there is evidence of the existence of the gang GTC, Ghost [Town Crips] [there is nothing] linking these 2 men.”

With that, the Senior Magistrate found Tyrone, Ellis, and their younger sibling in absentia not guilty of being a member of a gang.

The trial against Shaquille was done ex parte as he had absconded while out on bail.

The men were represented by attorneys, Richard “Dickie” Bradley and Leeroy Banner, who had to be in other jurisdictions of the courts on other matters.

The Meighans say that they have moved from the area and are gainfully employed elsewhere.
