Ladyville mechanic fined over $700 for crack and pipe

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A Ladyville mechanic was fined over $700 in court today for possession of drugs and a pipe.

Cleoford Williams, 58, appeared in court unrepresented was read a charge of possession of a controlled drug for 0.01 grams of crack cocaine and possession of a pipe to smoke crack cocaine.

He pleaded guilty to both charges and was fined $400 plus $5 cost of court on the first charge and $300 plus $5 cost of court on the second charge. He was given until December 15 to pay or he will face 3 months in prison.

On October 2, at the corner of Nargusta Street and Central American Boulevard police found Williams in possession of the pipe and the drugs.
