Man previously charged for drunk driving charged for drunk walking on Boom Road

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A man with a previous conviction for driving drunk was arrested, charged and fined in court today after being found walking drunk along the Burrell Boom Road.

Fred Sho, 42, appeared unrepresented in court this morning and plead guilty to a charge of being found drunk. He pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $100 plus $5 cost of court. He has until November 5 to pay, in default, 1 month in prison.

Sho was found drunk by police on October 2 at the junction of the Boom Road with the Philip Goldson Highway. But before he could go free, Sho was made to make a payment toward an outstanding fine he had racked up for drunk driving. That fine was $500 plus $5 cost of court and today he was ordered to pay $200 toward it. He has until November 5 to settle the balancing $300.
