By Breaking Belize News Staff: Residents in San Ignacio and Santa Elena Towns are alarmed following 4 robberies and 1 shooting incident in recent weeks.

On Friday night, three armed motorcycle bandits, dressed in camouflage, robbed Liang Store on the George Price Highway in Santa Elena.

The Big H office in San Ignacio was also reportedly robbed in a separate incident. Police are yet to issue an official report on either incident.

While police investigate these recent robberies, they are yet to make any arrests in the September 8 robbery of Anthony’s Store in Santa Elena, or the September 22 robbery of over $20,000 from delivery truck drivers inside a meat shop in Santa Elena.

Likewise with relation to the shooting of businessman Natalio Castaneda in front of his home on September 14, the police haven’t made any arrests.

Due to the lack of official police reports or comments on these incidents, the community is unaware if investigations are ongoing.
