Christian Canto, a Belize City construction worker, appeared in court unrepresented and was read a charge of theft.

He is accused of using a woman’s lost Atlantic Bank debit card at 100 Service Center, buying up items worth $148.56. He was granted bail in the sum of $1,500 plus one surety of the same.

According to his bail conditions, he must not interfere with the virtual complainant directly or indirectly through social media and must stay at least 100 yards away from her and her family. Canto is due back in court on December 1.
