International News: Death toll rises to over 2,500 on day 6 of Israel-Hamas war

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Photos and videos of horror are going viral on social media as the Israel-Hamas war continues for the 6th consecutive day.

According to Yahoo, the death toll from the war has risen to 2,500 with thousands others injured and displaced.

Over the weekend, Hamas launched an unprecedented attack prompting Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to declare war and form an emergency government and wartime Cabinet.

Israeli officials confirmed that 1,200 people have died including 189 soldiers.

In the Gaza strip, 1,400 people have been killed in Israeli airstrikes, with more than 6,268 others injured.

Among the victims are 25 Americans and the United States is working to repatriate U.S. citizens in Israel.

In addition, 7 journalists have died in Gaza from Israeli airstrikes as missiles continue to pound neighborhoods.

Videos on social media show journalists rushing to take cover during their reports.

U.S. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken who is in Israel has announced further ammunition supplies for Israel as well as interceptors for its Iron Dome, “alongside other defense material.”
