By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Ministry of Blue Economy and Civil Aviation (MBECA) is hosting Salvatore Sciacchitano, the President of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the Government of Belize Press Office said early Thursday.

“The president’s visit highlights the organization’s continuous support to Belize and the Central American region,” the GOB Press Office said.

Sciacchitano is here to address the 247th Meeting of the Central American Corporation of Air Navigation Services (COCESNA) Regional Board.

The GOB Press Office said the COCESNA meeting will discuss Belize’s upcoming ICAO audit, integration of regional flights, and capacity-building opportunities.

Sciacchitano has already met with Deputy Prime Minister Cordel Hyde and MBECA and COCESNA officials.
