Belize manage 1-1 against Bermuda in Concacaf League B

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Eldon Reneau scored from the penalty spot in the 75^th minute to draw level at 1-1 against Bermuda in Concacaf League B at the Dame Flora Duffy Sports Complex in Devonshire in Bermuda on Tuesday evening.

Eldon Reneau was fouled in the box in the 73^rd minute by Bermuda’s Roger Lee causing referee David Gómez of Costa Rica to award Belize the penalty kick.

Kane Crichlow opened the score for Bermuda in the 37^th minute as he had done in his country’s 1-0 win last Friday at the FFB Stadium in Belmopan.

Belize remain in the last spot in Group C, now with four points, behind leaders French Guiana (7 points), SVG (6 points), and Bermuda (5 points).

Last place means relegation to Concacaf League C, the lowest tier in the regional competition. Belize have two games remaining against French Guiana and St Vincent and the Grenadines to avert the drop. Like today’s, these final two matches are must-win games.
