Renowned artist Alex Sanker gifts painting to Leader of the Opposition

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Leader of the Opposition, Shyne Barrow says that when he returned from England last week, renowned artist Alex Sanker gifted him with a beautiful painting of him at the Belize sign.

“This is the second painting one of the greatest Artists in Belize’s history has done on me 14 years apart at two defining moments of my life……

I will always be an artist thus my love and admiration for other Artists whether painting, music or other fine arts will forever endure,” Barrow said.

Barrow thanked Sanker and said that he is a bold, fearless and unapologetic artist.

“Sanker has been extremely critical of both political parties in his work which is what I covet most about my sisters and brothers in the creative sector….the ability to express your truth without restrictions…….Respect to the Artists…..continue to paint, sing and perform your truth which reflects the myriad realities of our society,” Barrow added.
