By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and Enterprise (MAFSE) is planning the National Beekeeping Symposium 2023 for Thursday, November 30 at the Centro Escolar México Junior College in San Román, Corozal.

The symposium will be held under the theme ‘Building a Climate-Smart and Resilient Apiculture Sub-Sector in Belize’.

Presentations will be made on the following topics: Beekeeping Status in Belize, Pollinators/Meliponiculture, Honey Production, Integrated Pest Management, Honey Marketing, Traceability System, Honey Standards, and Adaptation to Climate Change.

The Honey Symposium will have the collaboration of presenters from Mexico and Guatemala.
