Cyclists Jyven Gonzalez and Leon Leslie recovering after highway knockdown

By Aaron Humes: The two cyclists who were injured this morning in a collision on the George Price Highway have been named as Jyven Gonzalez and Leon Leslie.

Ordonez Bike Shop sent out a notice to the “cycling family” “to send prayers for our two talented young cyclists. Jyven Gonzalez and Leon Leslie to make a full recovery after they were knocked down off their bikes while training on the George Price Highway this morning… Get well soon our cycling superstars.”

The young men were taken to hospital with hip pains after their run-in with a vehicle near the Jaguar Paw area.

Breaking Belize News (BBN) spoke to Jennifer Conorquie, Gonzalez’s mother, and we are happy to report that both cyclists have been released from the hospital and are at home recovering.
