By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Israel and Hamas have agreed to extend the ceasefire for 2 more days past Monday, the Associated Press reports.
Since the agreement of a ceasefire, Hamas and Israel have released hostages.
On Monday night, 11 Israeli women and children were freed by Hamas after more than 7 weeks in captivity in Gaza.
The release of the Israeli hostages was the 4th swap under the original four-day truce, which began Friday.
Thirty-three Palestinian prisoners released by Israel arrived early Tuesday in east Jerusalem and the West Bank town of Ramallah.
The prisoners were greeted by loud cheers as their bus made its way through the streets of Ramallah.
The agreement for 2 days more of ceasefire raises hopes for more extensions and the release of more hostages.
This also allows for more aid to flow into Gaza.
Israel has said it would extend the cease-fire by one day for every 10 additional hostages released.
