By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Women’s National Team are playing against Bonaire for their pass to Concacaf League B on Thursday evening at 8:00 pm (6:00 Belize Time) at Stadion Antonio Trenidat in Rincon, Bonaire.
Going into their fifth game in Group A of Concacaf League C, Belize lead with a perfect record of four wins in a row for 12 points. Aruba follow with six points. Bonaire are in third place with four and Turks and Caicos Islands bring up the rear with one point.
In the other Group A match today, Thursday, Aruba are hosting Turks and Caicos Islands at 3:00 pm (1:00 pm Belize Time).
Aruba need to win to keep their hopes alive, but if they drop points Belize will have already won the group even befoire taking the field later in the day. But even if Aruba win, those hopes might not last long should Belize draw or win over Bonaire as the BMNT would be unreachable with 13 or more points.
After Thursday night’s game, Belize fly to Aruba on Friday for the final game on Monday, December 4 at the Guillermo P. Trinidad Stadium in Oranjestad, Aruba at 3:00 pm (1:00 pm Belize Time).
For their part, Bonaire are flying to Turks and Caicos Islands for their Monday game against Turks and Caicos set for 4:00 pm (3:00 pm Belize Time).

The Belize Women’s National Team conducted their official training session on Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm (4:00 pm Belize Time) at Stadion Antonio Trenidat.
The BWNT only travelled with 17 players since Jayda Brown couldn’t make it due to her US residence permit while Kaite Jones and Shante Chacon are busy with their final exams at the American colleges they attend.
But left centre-back Mikhaila Bowden, left winger Vaylene Lambert, and right offensive midfielder Ashley Rodríguez who made Concacaf’s Best XI for the October matches did travel.
Goalkeeper Idania Ramirez and right forward Khalydia Velasquez who made the Concacaf September Best Eleven along with Bowden are also with the team.
Bonaire will be counting on midfielders Nathaniela Emerenciana of Bonaire who made the October Best XI.
Belize beat Bonaire 3-0 on September 25 at the FFB Stadium in Belmopan on two goals by Velasquez and one by Bowden.
Velasquez and Bowden are the BWNT’s top scorers with four strikes each. Captain Sabrina and Kaite Jones have netted two each, while Shamika Lambey and Ashley Rodríguez have converted one each. Of the goalscorers, only Kaite is missing against Bonaire.
