Domestic stabbing victim Shona Baptist stable in hospital as police prepare to charge attacker

By Aaron Humes: Police report that the suspect who allegedly stabbed Shona Baptist in the throat area and other parts of her body was allegedly under the influence of alcohol. Baptist is still hospitalized but is in a stable condition.

According to police, the stabbing took place before 8 p.m. at the residence shared by Baptist, her three-year-old son and her attacker, in the Bryan Estate area of Burrell Boom, when they apparently got into an argument.

Police have the suspect in custody as well as the weapon allegedly used. Their investigations continue.
