King’s Park resident Armando Marin Esquiliano denies spitting out illicit cocaine in front of police

Posted: Wednesday, December 6, 2023. 9:05 pm CST.

By Aaron Humes: A King’s Park man was charged with possession of controlled drugs after police claim they found him with cocaine in his mouth which they say he tried to conceal by spitting it out; but, he was still caught.

27-year-old Armando Marin Esquiliano, a resident of L Street, Kings Park, Belize City, initially pleaded guilty to the charge, but after the facts were read out in court to him, he was not in agreement.

Police say they saw him spit out the substance but Esquiliano denied that, saying that if he had spit out the substance then it would have come out wet.

The Magistrate entered an equivocal plea of not guilty on his behalf and since there was no objection to bail, he was offered bail in the sum of $200 plus one surety of the same amount.

Esquiliano’s next court date is set for January 5, 2024, a date also set for him to be provided with disclosure.
