By Horace Palacio: The Belize Agricultural Health Authority (BAHA) has announced an open invitation to the general public for bidding on a collection of unserviceable motor vehicles. This unique opportunity allows interested parties to purchase vehicles that have served the BAHA but are no longer in operational condition.

The list of vehicles up for bid includes a range of pickups and vans, notable for their varied uses in agricultural and health operations throughout Belize. The vehicles are stationed primarily at Central Farm, with one located in Orange Walk. The inventory for sale includes:

  1. 2012 Great Wall Wingle Pickup – License Plate BMPE 00090 – Central Farm
  2. 2010 Nissan Frontier Pickup – License Plate BMPE 00209 – Central Farm
  3. 2003 Toyota Hiace Van – License Plate BMPE 00180 – Central Farm
  4. 2012 Isuzu D-Max Pickup – License Plate BMPE 00116 – Central Farm
  5. 2010 Toyota Hilux Pickup – License Plate BMPE 00026 – Central Farm
  6. 2008 Toyota Hilux Pickup – License Plate BMPE 00008 – Orange Walk
  7. Zinger Camper – Central Farm
  8. Jayco Camper – Central Farm

Prospective bidders are required to submit their bids in sealed envelopes, clearly labeled with the vehicle license plate number or Camper Model, facilitating an efficient review process. The deadline for bid submission is set for the close of business on Friday, December 29th, 2023.

It is important for bidders to note that the vehicles are being sold “as is” and at their current locations.
