Caye Caulker man stabbed on Sunday night with Smirnoff pint bottle

By Aaron Humes: Police are seeking one man following a stabbing on the island of Caye Caulker on Sunday night.

According to police, one Evan Haynes, 28, a construction worker of Northside Caye Caulker Village was brought to the village health center with apparent stab wounds to the body. Initial information received was that Evan Haynes was socializing at Sip N Dip Beach Bar located on Avenida Hicaco, Caye Caulker Village, when he was approached by a man known to him and a struggle ensued between them.

The alleged attacker took a Smirnoff pint bottle, broke it, and allegedly stabbed Haynes several times to the body.

Haynes is this evening in Belize City for further medical attention in a critical but stable condition. Police investigation continues.
