Belize Weather: Weather cools with showers coming in

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A frontal system will support moist and unstable conditions over our area. The National Meteorological Service forecasts mostly cloudy skies today and tonight. A few showers and isolated thunderstorms will affect mostly offshore areas today, with showers increasing along the coast tonight.

Average temperatures forecast today will be 82 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 84 degrees inland and 75 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 72 degrees along the coast, 68 degrees inland and 61 degrees in the hills.

Winds will be northerly to northeasterly at 10 to 20 knots, and sea state moderate. A small craft caution is in effect for gusty winds and locally rough seas near heavy showers and thunderstorms.

Tides will be high at 9:28 this morning and 8:22 this evening. A low tide occurs at 2:21 this afternoon.

The sun sets at 5:19 this evening and rises at 6:12 Tuesday morning.

On Tuesday, skies will be cloudy. Some showers, periods of light rain and a few thunderstorms will affect most areas.
