Was William Watson murdered? Post-mortem examination identified ‘multiple stab wounds to the neck’ as cause of death

By Aaron Humes: The sudden death of senior citizen William Watson last Tuesday appears to be looking more like homicide following a post-mortem examination of his body conducted on Monday.

According to Police, the cause of death was certified as due to multiple stab wounds to the neck.

Watson, 82, was discovered dead inside his house at corner Zericote and Banak Streets, after fire personnel put out a blaze that partially destroyed the house. Fire officials later said the blaze started from an old television set and that Watson was found lying on his back a few feet away.

Investigations continue at this time.
