By Aaron Humes: Cayo North area representative Michel Chebat has condemned the alleged vandalism and defacement of the main entrance of the Victor Galvez Stadium which is hosting the Cayo North Christmas Arts and Craft Festival.

Chebat wrote on social media that the “malicious act” “occurred in the early hours of Sunday, December 17, 2023,” and that he was “saddened” by it.

Chebat continued, “The Arts and Craft Festival is a perfect opportunity to bring local vendors and the community together under a theme of togetherness during the Christmas Season. It is disheartening to know that certain characters within the community are so hellbent on [destroying] this one-of-a-kind event that they would deface the main entrance of the facility.”

The event continues through December 23.
